How Code42 works
Collect and monitor
Code42’s DLP software will automatically monitor all files across your organisation’s Windows, Mac and Linux computers. Newly created, modified or moved files will be tracked so you can keep an eye on where and how your corporate data is being used. Anything moved to cloud environments like OneDrive, Google Drive and Dropbox will also be noticed, meaning you can always be alerted to potential breaches.
Detect and investigate
The software identifies when users move files to removable media, web browsers, apps or cloud sync folders. You can set up alerts that notify you when a specific employee, document or file size is moved or shared – so you can find out immediately whether suspicious behavior has taken place. It’s especially useful for making sure departing staff don’t take your commercially sensitive information with them.
Assess and respond
You can access every file detail, including its hash, owner path, size and category, and view the hostname and IP address of the device involved. All activity is indexed automatically to make searches easy, allowing your team to review events in an instant. You can even restore files that have been deleted and recover documents from lost or stolen devices.
