Alan Doyle is your Jigsaw24 Regional Education Manager for the North West. This means he's your local go-to for educational technology solutions, and helping you maximise your Apple experience in the classroom with our training.
Alan has 20 years’ experience teaching Key Stages 2-5, working with pupils with emotional and behavioural disorders, private schools, state comprehensives and academies. He has a substantial understanding of integrating and implementing IT projects in the educational environment, and has completed his National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership, being part of teams moving schools from special measures to outstanding!
Over time, the many hats Alan's worn have included head of department, assistant headteacher, ITT coach, solution architect, network manager, curriculum developer and tea maker. Projects he's taken a lead role on include being technical advisor for a successful Local Education Authority-wide BSF bid, a project delivering 1000 1:1 iPads as part of a parental contribution scheme, and designing and developing an onsite VDI Cloud solution, working in partnership with Microsoft and Dell. He is a VLE expert and enjoy making work flow from the classroom to the MIS, while having direct impact on performance and progression. He is also Microsoft MCSE and Cisco CCNA-qualified, so well versed in geek speak and translating any jargon.
Having a comprehensive grasp of how schools operate, and the ever-changing educational priorities in the UK, puts Alan in a unique position to assist you in making the most of your IT, and creating a positive impact on the performance of your pupils by linking technology directly to curriculum.
